Preliminary quantities and variants the client understands

From the plan of the flat to the floor areas, the metres of perimeter and the net walls per room. And when the client asks “what changes?”, an answer with the 3D and the numbers of the same revision, on the same model.

ShotPlan is in development for pilot projects. Available functions and limits are verified on the agreed use case.

The problem

A variant quote costs hours of work

Every change to the layout requires redrawing, remeasuring and redoing the sums. The client does not see the difference and decides late. ShotPlan starts from the plan and keeps the view, quantities and costs on the same model.

Preliminary quantities from a plan

Floor area and perimeter per room, net wall surface with openings subtracted, project totals: in JSON, ready for your take-off sheet.

In testing

Existing, demolition, construction

In the exchange model every wall carries a state, to distinguish what stays from what changes and count the works separately.

Coming soon

The variant with the difference in euros

Two revisions of the same model and a configurable price list that shows the cost difference between them: a preliminary estimate, never a binding quote. Coming soon.

How the work goes

From the plan to the variant

  1. 01

    Plan in the viewer

You upload the DWG or DXF; if you only have a scan, we evaluate it in the pilot.

    Available
  2. 02

    Model and quantities

Walls, openings and rooms; floor areas, perimeters and net walls calculated from the model.

    Available
  3. 03

    The variant is a revision

Every correction of the model creates a numbered revision; the previous one stays readable for comparison.

    In testing
  4. 04

Numbers and 3D to the client

Quantities and 3D view of the same revision, to show in the meeting; the cost difference from the price list is coming soon.

The pilot project

We start from a concrete case

  1. 01

    We define the problem

Which decision should ShotPlan help to make and who will use the result?

  2. 02

    We agree on the test

We establish the floor plan, the quantities to evaluate, the price list and the success criteria.

  3. 03

    We evaluate the pilot

Scope, conditions and connections with your systems are agreed after the technical check.

Frequently asked questions

Are the costs a quote?

No. They are a preliminary estimate obtained by applying a price list, yours or a test one, to the model quantities. The quote remains yours and depends on items, waste and conditions ShotPlan does not know.

Can I tell walls to demolish from new ones?

Yes: in the exchange model every wall carries a state (existing, demolition, construction) that you change in the web editor; every change creates a revision. Quantities split by state are coming with price-list costs.

Does it take a technician to use it?

To trace the walls on the DWG you need to be able to read a plan. The result, the 3D view with the quantities, is designed to be understood by anyone.
